An intergenerational workshop and a fanzine

“Memory of Design Region of Murcia” has made its own a principle of anti-ageism that we hope to take to the core of our professional association, as we reject all types of discrimination and consider especially unfair and a great waste that suffered by the elderly in our current society.

We need the knowledge and experience of those who have gone before us and we want to create opportunities for different generations of designers to meet.

And to show that it can be done, we scheduled a fanzine workshop in April in collaboration with the Higher School of Design of the Region of Murcia (Edi) and with the help of the DEA Student Association. And we have documented it.

On June 6 we will listen to what Juan Álvarez, Vicente Martínez Gadea, Carmen Iranzo and the participating Edi students tell us about this first intergenerational experience, we will see the photos of the process and we will learn what they have made in command: it will be the first intergenerational fanzine on the memory of design: “Ganas y canas”.
