DIP began the distribution of “An Indelible Footprint”, the book that is the subject of “MDRM. Stage Two”
The DIP association has begun to distribute “An indelible footprint”, a work by several authors conceived within the framework of the collaborative project “Memory of Design Region of Murcia” during 2025. A book that brings together texts, a wide selection of illustrative images and several unique objects, brought together to honor those who have contributed decisively to the development of advertising communication and design in the Region of Murcia, from the beginnings of democracy to the present day, the Protagonists of MDRM.
Conceived as a time capsule, this publication explores the memory of regional design and calls for the reader’s complicity in an exciting collective adventure that contributes to identifying and remembering us as a society.
The distribution has begun with a first phase of gifts for the people associated with DIP, the protagonists and collaborators of the MDRM collective project, currently underway.
The points of sale of “An indelible mark” are the cultural spaces La Innovadora, directed by José Carlos Nievas and located in the Plaza Santo Domingo de Murcia, and Arquitectura de Barrio, with Coral Marín in front, in Julián Calvo Street, 6.
There will be more, in other places in the region, soon.

For the development of this second stage of the MDRM project, within the framework of which this book has been published, it has been essential to have the people associated with DIP and the funding received from the Ministry of Culture of the Government of Spain, the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts of the Region of Murcia (ICA), Novograf Artes Gráficas, the Cajamurcia Foundation and CETEM.
With this initiative, DIP reinforces its commitment to the dissemination and recognition of design and communication, promoting memory, generating knowledge and stimulating dialogue between different generations of the creative ecosystem.
Opening the book “An indelible mark
“An indelible mark” has been possible thanks to the work of numerous people and entities.
The general coordination of the MDRM project is by Teresa Jular and the coordination of the book is by Fernando Marín and Jorge Martínez, who have accompanied the young Álvaro García Ruano, creator of the design of the object book.
If we open the box, we will find a letter addressed “to whom it may be interested” signed by the coordinator; a collection of portraits by the photographer Ángel Fernández Saura; a text by the journalist Ángel Montiel illustrated by Álvaro García Ruano; a book with an extensive text by the writer and poet Javier Marín, a kind of guided tour through the trajectories of the more than sixty protagonists of the project and the contexts in which they have developed their work. The book closes with a selection of images that García Ruano has made and that shows the quality and modernity of the work of the Murcian creators honored. An agile read, it refers to the digital archive regiondemurcia.design to delve into all this.
In addition, a poster that presents the protagonists, a selection of images of works and three 3D objects rendered and printed by Juan Vidal Gallego, Érika Marcos Benavente and Rocío Ogáyar Nicolás.
The book is completed by an English translation by Mark Byrne, a thank you card to the many people who have helped, and credits to the people responsible.
