Manuel Portillo Alcalde
Granada, 1952. The first-born son of a family of Granada origin established in Murcia when he was very young, Manuel Portillo began studying Physical Sciences in Madrid. Back in Murcia, he founded together with his brother Pablo, then an architecture student, a first graphic design and photography studio, Forma. A decade later, in 1989, he co-founded Portillo & Del Sol, with his wife, María José, undertaking together a wide range of design services for the regional administration and numerous companies, some of them national. He retired in 2019.
